In the heart of the sports and entertainment world stands AT&T Stadium, home to the Dallas Cowboys and a multitude of thrilling events. In this blog post, "The Winning Playbook: Accessible Outings at AT&T Stadium," we explore how this iconic venue goes beyond the norm to prioritize inclusivity. From accessible parking to stadium navigation and inclusive amenities, we unveil the keys to an unforgettable outing for individuals of all abilities. Join us in celebrating the spirit of inclusivity at AT&T Stadium and ensuring that everyone can be part of the excitement, making every visit a winning experience.

II. Understanding Accessibility at AT&T Stadium

Built in 2009. AT&T Stadium is located in the heart of Arlington, TX. Home of the Dallas Cowboys this modern super stadium not only host the NFL but is also host to Texas UIL state championship games, The Cotton Bowl Classic, Concerts, and now is going to host 9 games of the 2026 World Cup. AT&T Stadium accessibility is crucial not only for fans to be able to enjoy all AT&T Stadium has to offer but for AT&T Stadium to be considered as a beacon of inclusivity.

III. Accessible Parking and Transportation

When it comes to arriving at AT&T Stadium there sadly aren't that many options. Your only options are if you are going with someone to park in an ADA parking spot or have someone drop you off at one of the designated drop off zones. ADA Parking is located in Blue Lot 7, Blue Lot 10, Blue Lot 1, Silver Lot 5, Silver Lot 4, Blue Lot 11, Silver Lot 12, Silver Lo 13, Silver Lot 14, Blue Lot 15, and Texas Rangers Parking Lots V, J, M, N. All of these lots have a shuttle service that will take you to the stadium. For drop off and pick up those areas are located between lots 1 & 2 and lots 6 & 7. For the smoothest arrival possible research when doors open for your event and if there is an event happening at Globe life field or Choctaw Stadium so you can plan your departure accordingly.

IV. Navigating the Stadium

When it comes to navigating AT&T Stadium it is very ADA friendly. All entrances to the stadium are flat so it is very easy for wheelchair users to get into the stadium. All concourses are very wide so driving through the crowds isn't very difficult, just be patient because people will randomly stop in the middle of the concourse. When it comes to accessible seating at AT&T Stadium there are plenty of options. There are ADA seats all the way from the event level to the upper concourse. With plenty of options you are always able to find something.

V. Inclusive Amenities

Amenities AT&T Stadium offers for ADA guest are abundant. There are Family/Companion Restrooms for people in a wheelchair to use the restroom with more space for them, their companion, and their wheelchair. These restrooms are located on all levels for easy access no matter where your seats are. For people who have vision or hearing impairments AT&T Stadium offers Handheld Captioning & Assistive Listening Device to their guest. The handheld device are available for check out at all Guest Services Centers located on the concourse behind sections 219, 244, 420 & 451. You can arrange to use these by contacting the AT&T Stadium guest services hotline at (817) 892-4161. Sign Language Interpreters are also available for certain concert events, just call the hotline 30 days before your event. AT&T Stadium also allows service animals but it is recommended to call the hotline to set up accommodations for you and your service animal.

VII. Preparing for Your Visit

When it comes to preparing yourself for a visit to AT&T Stadium make a checklist of what you might need. A checklist like this is going to change depending on the person but I recommend taking a straw and some sort of portable urinal. If you need forks or spoons most of the concessions have them available. For the best experience at AT&T Stadium plan ahead. Once tickets go on sale for your event don't wait and purchase tickets to ensure you have ADA seating and to buy parking before it sells out. I also recommend arriving as early as possible to ensure an ADA parking spot as they are available at a first come basis. If you get unlucky and can't find ADA seats you can purchase regular seats and head to guest services to see what accommodations they can do for you.

VIII. Personal Stories: Real Experiences

My Personal Stories from experiencing events at AT&T Stadium have been overall positive. I have had the privilege to experience many events at AT&T Stadium from Dallas Cowboys games, USMNT games, Mexican National Team games, and concerts. My experiences at sporting events at this stadium have overall been positive. For USMNT and Mexican National Team games parking and walking through the stadium was easy for us. We were able to park close entrances and since we were close to elevators we were easily able to get to our seats. When it came to Dallas Cowboys games it wasn't so seamless. Parking for us was about half a mile away from the nearest entrance so we had to walk and cross streets to get to AT&T Stadium. Once inside the seats that were sold to us weren't ADA seats so we had to talk to guest services to get it resolved. They luckily were able to resolve our issue but were only able to give us 2 ADA tickets in that same section. We needed 4 tickets but told us we could all sit together but if the other 2 seats were to be needed they would have to move us, luckily they never showed so we were able to sit together. When it came to experiencing concerts, just like the sporting events I mentioned earlier parking and walking through the stadium was easy. We were also able to park close and were close to elevators to get to our seats easier. The only thing all of these events have in common for me is that at the end of all events at AT&T Stadium using the elevators was a nightmare, everyone wants to use the elevators and the employees/security inside by the elevators will let anybody use them instead of prioritizing people that actually have a need for them. Other than that experiences at AT&T Stadium are great and very accessible.

IX. Tips for an Enjoyable Outing

For the best experience at AT&T Stadium I recommend buying parking as soon as possible, get there right as lots open so you can secure ADA parking as close to the stadium as possible as they tend to fill up really fast, and prepare yourself mentally as there a lot of people so have patience and enjoy your outing to AT&T Stadium. Remember if you ever need any help do not hesitate to ask a staff member for help.

X. Conclusion

AT&T Stadium stands as a shining example of accessibility and inclusivity in the realm of sports and entertainment. Through its comprehensive accommodations, from accessible parking to inclusive amenities and seating options, the stadium ensures that individuals of all abilities can enjoy the excitement of game days and concerts alike. Despite some challenges, visitors can navigate the venue with ease, aided by its ADA-friendly infrastructure and helpful staff. By prioritizing accessibility and fostering a welcoming environment, AT&T Stadium not only provides memorable experiences but also sets a precedent for other venues to follow. With careful planning and support, every visit to AT&T Stadium becomes a winning experience for all.
