Through My Lens: Accessibility at Luxe Eyewear in Frisco

While walking around The Star in Frisco, I decided to stop by Luxe Eyewear to check out some of their stylish frames. I’ve always liked seeing what new eyewear designs different stores have, especially since comfort and practicality are just as important as looks. Unfortunately, this visit wasn’t the smoothest in terms of accessibility.

First Impressions and Accessibility

The store itself was small and felt very cramped, even with just a few customers inside. Navigating through the aisles with my wheelchair took some extra care, as there wasn’t much space to move around comfortably. While I was able to look at the selection of frames and displays, the tight layout made it difficult to enjoy the browsing experience fully.

Staff Interaction

During my time in the store, I noticed that the staff were busy helping other customers, which I completely understood. However, in a smaller store like this, it was hard not to notice that I hadn’t been approached or asked if I needed help at any point. I looked around for a while before deciding to head out. It wasn’t until I was leaving the store that a staff member finally noticed me.

Final Thoughts

While Luxe Eyewear has some stylish frames and a polished atmosphere, the tight space and lack of engagement from staff made the experience feel just okay. For wheelchair users, the store’s layout could make it tough to navigate comfortably, especially during busier times.

3 out of 5 rating. A nice store with potential—but for now, accessibility and attentiveness could use a clearer focus.
