The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory or Toyota Music Factory is an amphitheater located in Irving, TX. This venue is known mostly for hosting concert and the occasional comedy show. In this article I am going to be talking about the accessibility features in and around Toyota Music Factory that let fans like me enjoy all of the best concerts this venue has to offer.
Toyota Music Factory has a lot of accessible features inside and out of the venue. Outside of the venue you have various options for accessible parking. You have Toyota Music Factories parking lot which opens about 1.5 hrs. before the event and depending on the event it might open earlier or later (call the box office if you have any doubts about when that parking lot opens). You also have the restaurant parking lots that are all over The Pavilion. These parking lots are only open for people who are going to eat at the many restaurants in The Pavilion but you can use them if you go eat before your concert. Both of these parking options are close to the venue so you don't have to walk far to reach the entrance to Toyota Music Factory and when it comes to transportation to the venue i've only used my own vehicle i'm not sure about public transportation than Uber/Lyft.
Now we get to the accessibility of the entrance. There is only one entrance to Toyota Music Factory and it is really accessible. There are multiple lines to get in and they are wide enough for a large wheelchair to drive through. If the lines are really long security will pass you and the people you went with to the front of the line. Once you are inside there is a ramp to get up to the main floor on your right hand side.
Now that you are inside of the venue you need to get to your seats. All ADA seats are located on a higher floor so you will need to take an elevator up. This elevator is located by the concessions on your right hand side. If you can't find it just ask one of the employees to show you where the elevator is located. This elevator can only fit 2 people so if there are more than 2 of you the rest are going to have to meet you at the floor your seats are located at.
Now that you are at the floor your seats are at you can ask one of the employees to show you to your seats. All ADA seats inside Toyota Music Factory are folding chairs so if there is someone in a wheelchair with you just move one of the chairs out the spot the wheelchair is going to be in. Just be aware that if you are wanting to go to an event at Toyota Music Factory and need ADA seats buy them with time as they do sell out pretty fast depending on the popularity of the performer.
And finally when it comes to the restroom situation each restroom (male and female) only has 1 handicap stall so I would suggest going right as you get there or if you go eat before the event go at the restaurant. Lines for the restroom inside Toyota Music Factory can get really long so you will have to wait to use the handicap stall.
My personal experience attending a concert/event at Toyota Music Factory has been great. The entire venue is super accessible and all of the employees are very friendly and willing to help out if I ever needed help with anything. Views from the seats I have purchased overall have been pretty good. The only thing I would recommend is that if you ever buy ADA tickets in the 300 ADA if there are a lot of seats available do not choose the seats closest to the middle of the venue as those are an obstructed view (even though it doesn't say that when you are purchasing the ticket). It's not obstructed by much but it does hinder your view of the stage. When it came to parking at Toyota Music Factory that was probably the hardest because it isn't just a concert venue, there are also a lot of restaurants and bars in the same area that share parking with the venue so it fills up really fast. I would recommend getting there as early as possible to get parking and if you are going to get there early just go eat at one of the many restaurants near Toyota Music Factory so you don't have to spend money on concessions inside the venue and you get closer parking to the venue. My overall experience at a concert inside Toyota Music Factory has been nothing but positive. Every time I go I am happy to see all of the accessibility features and accommodations the staff are willing to do for me. If you are a person that needs more accommodations than just ADA seating you can call Toyota Music Factory at 469-840-9730. The things you can ask for are an ASL interpreter and other accommodations. I'm not entirely sure what they do and don't offer but you can call and ask for more information on the accommodation Toyota Music Factory offers.
In recap the overall accessibility at Toyota Music Factory is great. There is enough ADA parking close to the venue for easy access. Lines to get in usually are pretty short to get in but just in case they are long security will take you and your party to the front to get scanned into the event. There are ramps and elevators available for easy access to all of Toyota Music Factory. Overall the inlusivity for disabled guest is amazing. If you are a fan of music but are worried that there isn't going to be anything accessible for you don't worry this venue makes music accessible for everyone.
