Globe Life Field is a state of the art ballpark and entertainment venue located in the sports district of Arlington, Tx. This post is to show what a college baseball game at Globe Life Field entails if you or someone you know with disabilities are going. We will be discussing parking, entrances, seating areas, restrooms, and other accessibility features that the ballpark offers for a college baseball game.

Accessibility for College Baseball at Globe Life Field is amazing. You notice all of the thought that went into all of the accessibility features at the stadium starting with the parking. ADA parking is plentiful, you can usually find these in the parking lots closest to the stadium but some of theme are a good walk away from Globe Life Field. The list of ADA parking lots are Sienna Lot M, Highlander Lot N, Capstone Lot E, Sequoia Lot L, Crow Lot S, Venza Lot V, and Camry Lot D. The ticket prices for these parking lots range from the cheapest being $15 to the most expensive being $35. These parking lots are general admission parking so parking spots are first come first serve so if you are going to use any of these get there early. Supra Lot A which is generally a reserved parking lot will let you pay to park there if there are spots available. All entrances are ADA accessible so there are always ramps leading to the entrances. If you are in a wheelchair they will pass you around the metal detectors and check any bags on the chair. Scanning the tickets are also very ADA friendly. If you are alone or if the person you are with is still in line for the metal detectors the person at the doors will ask for your phone and help you scan the tickets if you are not able to. Now that you are in the stadium its time to look for some seats. Seating during College baseball games is normally general admission so you can just sit wherever you can find ADA seats. If you need to use the restroom while you are at the game you don't have to worry all restrooms are ADA accessible so they will always have a handicap stall. If you need more room and privacy than just a stall the family restrooms located all over the stadium are a great option. If you need help locating any of the restrooms just ask anybody in a guest services polo shirt. As for transportation to and from the stadium for someone with disabilities there aren't any that don't include either driving yourself or having somebody drive you to and from the stadium.

My personal experience attending a college baseball game at Globe Life Field was an overall good experience. There were some challenges along the way but the staff working the game were very helpful and accommodating. The first challenge we had was parking because there were 3 games happening that day so most parking lots were full since we only went to the last game of the day. We had found ADA parking at Supra Lot A and the person in charge of that parking lot waved us toward that lot so he was very helpful. When we were inside since we realized that seating was general admission we asked one of the guest services people where there were open ADA seats and she escorted us to open seats. Overall the entire staff was very helpful and accommodating.

If you've ever been to any college sporting event you know the atmosphere at these games. From first pitch all the way to the 9th inning it was really loud and energetic. The student section for both schools were loud and proud of their schools during the game. If you are a fan of baseball you will have fun at these college baseball games. View from the ADA seats were great you had a really good view of the entire field and could see everything without anything obstructing your view. Because it is really loud and fireworks go off whenever the home team scores a homerun I recommend taking headphones with you if the person your going with or yourself have sensory issues. If you happen to forget them you can ask a guest services staff to help you out and the stadium will provide a sensory bag for you. They also have sensory rooms where it is very quiet incase you get overwhelmed by all the noise, lights, etc.

The overall experience experience attending a college baseballe game at Globe Life Field was great. The accessibility features offered by Globe Life Field are plentiful. They offer everything from transportaion to and from parking lots incase you have trouble walking, ADA seating all over the stadium, ADA bathroom stalls in all restrooms all over the stadium, and sensory rooms/bags available to you upon request. Globe Life Field makes sure all fans feel welcome to their stadium for games. The tip i'm gonna end this with is to get there early so you can get parking close to the stadium so you dont have to walk. The rating i'm going to give is an 8/10. I would like to see that all parking lots at Globe Life Field (this means Season, Reserved, and general) let you pay for parking if and only if you are driving a vehicle with the handicap placard and they see that there is someone in the vehicle that would benefit from parking closer. The other thing I would like to see incase that first one isn't possible is to have a dedicated parking lot close to the stadium that is handicap only.
