Swatch is known for its stylish and creative watches, but how does its store layout accommodate wheelchair users? My visit to the Swatch store at NorthPark Mall highlighted some major accessibility challenges.

Tight Spaces and Limited Mobility

The store is very small, and navigating it in a wheelchair was nearly impossible. The tight layout meant that I couldn’t move freely, and I was only able to browse the watches displayed near the entrance. Watches further inside the store were out of reach, as getting through without the risk of bumping into something was too difficult.

A Personal Shopping Experience

I’ve always been a fan of Swatch watches—their designs and collaborations are really unique, so I was excited to visit the store at NorthPark. However, the immediate lack of space was disappointing. I quickly realized I could only check out the watches at the front because trying to navigate toward the back wasn’t an option. The friendly staff made the experience a little better, but ultimately, the store’s layout prevented me from fully exploring what they had to offer. Since it was so cramped, I decided to leave pretty quickly.

Final Thoughts

While Swatch makes great watches, their store’s accessibility needs major improvements.

2 out of 5 rating! ⭐

If you're a wheelchair user visiting Swatch NorthPark, be prepared for a very limited shopping experience.
