Miniso is known for its fun and affordable selection of everyday items, ranging from home goods to cute stationery and toys. However, the accessibility of its stores often falls short, leaving wheelchair users and others with mobility challenges struggling to navigate the shopping experience.

Tight Spaces and Challenges

The store I visited was incredibly tight, with narrow walkways and merchandise scattered on the floor. For wheelchair users, this setup creates significant challenges when trying to browse or even move around the store. Unfortunately, the staff did not offer assistance during my visit, even though it was evident that I was having a hard time navigating.

Personal Experience at Miniso

I had heard about Miniso from a cousin and was excited to check it out. However, the excitement quickly turned into frustration. From the moment I entered, I realized I would face difficulties because of how tight the store was. Maneuvering my wheelchair was a struggle due to the cramped spaces and merchandise left on the floor, which only worsened the already narrow walkways. What disappointed me the most was that not one staff member offered assistance, even though some clearly noticed me struggling to get around. Unfortunately, this made the entire experience feel unwelcoming.

Final Rating: 2 out of 5

Miniso may have great products, but its lack of accessibility and assistance leaves much to be desired. Tight spaces, cluttered walkways, and unhelpful staff made my visit challenging and unpleasant. I’m giving it a 2 out of 5 and hope that Miniso can improve its store layout and customer service to create a more inclusive shopping environment.
