Accessibility isn’t just about ramps and reserved parking spaces—it’s about creating inclusive experiences where everyone feels welcome. I recently had the privilege of returning to Dickies Arena, this time as an invited guest. It was their way of thanking me for helping them identify ways to make their venue more accessible and for sharing my insights in a previous review.
I decided to use this opportunity not just to revisit the arena but also to treat my mom to a concert she’d been dreaming of seeing. It was a chance to enjoy quality time together while also taking a closer look at how Dickies Arena has improved its accessibility.
Arrival and Entry
As with my last visit, parking and getting to the venue were relatively straightforward. Even though we arrived a bit later than planned and initially struggled to find an available ADA space, we eventually secured one. The process of getting our tickets and moving through security was smooth and hassle-free—just as I remembered from my first visit.
Inside the Arena
Once inside, my mom headed off to buy some merch from the concert. While she was shopping, I had a great experience with the proactive and attentive staff. They approached me to ensure I had everything I needed and even helped us locate our seats. Their friendliness and willingness to assist stood out as one of the highlights of the night.
Our seats offered a fantastic view of the stage, making the concert even more special. It was a joy to see my mom’s face light up as she watched a show she’d been excited about for years. This night wasn’t just about accessibility—it was about creating memories, and Dickies Arena made that possible.
Exiting the Venue
Leaving the arena was smooth and uneventful. Despite the post-show crowds, the pathways and exits remained accessible, and we didn’t face any delays or challenges getting back to our vehicle.
Conclusion
This experience at Dickies Arena was nothing short of amazing. Their commitment to accessibility and inclusion is clear, and I deeply appreciate their efforts to make everyone feel welcome. A big thank you to the Dickies Arena staff for reaching out, listening to my feedback, and working to ensure their venue is accessible to everyone.
From the easy parking to the friendly staff and excellent seating, they’ve gone above and beyond. I’m giving this experience a 5 out of 5 rating and can’t wait to return for another event. If you’re considering a visit to Dickies Arena and have accessibility needs, know that you’re in good hands.
